| ZETO's designer Nami Ogawa was a former ballerina before launching her first collection in 2001. It's not a surprise for Ogawa to release a collection that is inspired by a Ballerina's dance wear, especially since she is still heavily involved in the dance world.
When visiting the Avenue of Americas or NYC's upper west side, you'll notice many ambitious, pretty ballerina girls with tight bunned hair, and good posture strolling down the street. Nami was one of those girls. Her ballet master used yell at her if she showed up to the studio wearing dirty holed jeans and hoodies. The master always said, "outfit yourself like a lady, then you'll dance like a lady". Clothes are powerful, it changes your mood for the day. ZETO hopes by wearing the ballerina collection, you will fulfill your romantic fantasy in real life and see your days more theatrical than usual. |
